Lois W. Stern of Makemeheal has an excellent post about plastic surgery due diligence and what every patient needs to know before their procedure is performed.

She points out the tragic example of Donda West, Kanye West’s mother’s botched surgery and death.

Researching the background of West’s doctor, Ms. Stern discovered he was not a board certified plastic surgeon.

This is important.

You want your plastic surgeon to be board certified with the American Board of Medical Specialists, or a similar board for your home country.
