Breast Reconstruction Breakthrough
By PSAuthority on Nov 13, 2009 in Cosmetic Plastic Surgery
There is a new breast reconstruction breakthrough that may give women who have had a mastectomy hope for natural breasts.
It is a revolutionary treatment that involves growing breasts.
Because of stem cell surgery called Neopec, the new breasts have been grown successfully in pigs.
The first five women will undergo the still experimental treatment in an Australian trial next January.
It works by placing a form over an incision on the chest. A blood vessel and the paitent’s own fat will fill the form with new tissue.
