13 Potential Problems for Women Who Want to Look Like Barbie

barbieThere are many potential problems brewing for women who want to look just like Barbie.

The perfectly proportioned Mattel doll is turning 50 this year, yet she never seems to age. Is Barbie- copying a strange fantasy? Is it worth the effort?

Some women will do almost anything to look like Barbie.

In extreme cases like that of Sarah Burge who holds the record for the most Barbie look-a like surgeries, 100, women will go under a plastic surgeons’ knife to be cut, sculpted and re-shaped  into becoming a  real life Barbie.

Here are some facts they need to think about before having the surgeries.

1. Will you be able to find a reputable surgeon, or surgeons, who would perform all the necessary surgery?

How many surgeons will agree to perform 100 surgeries?  How will future patients view their  judgment?

2. Are Barbie’s proportions really natural?

In real life she would be 7′2″, 101 lbs, a size 4 with a 36″ bust FF cup.

Is that realistic?

3.  Do you think Barbie’s signature high heel feet would be comfortable?

Barbie has specially designed plastic feet to fit into her high heel shoes.  That may have more to do with helping her to be easier to play with than the fact that women would really want  such strangely shaped feet.

4. Nipple Removal- Barbie doesn’t have nipples.  Do you want to go that far?

5. Looking like Barbie will not stop you from aging

Aging is going to happen whether you manage to look like an eternally youthful doll, for a short period of your life.  You can’t stop the clock totally.

6. Risks of complications and infections from many surgeries

Cosmetic surgery can be very beneficial if conducted for the right reasons.  But you can possibly run into some serious health problems if you have too many surgeries.

7. Expense

Looking like Barbie can get expensive.  Sarah Burge has reportedly spent almost $800,000 for her surgeries.  Did she get her money’s worth?

8. How will others really perceive you?

People will gossip.  Some people will not approve.  Others may think you are crazy because of your desire to look like a doll tiny girls play with.

Sarah Burge even went as far as to dress like Barbie at her wedding three years ago when she wore a pink Barbie- type gown.

9. Are you ignoring your real problems of low self esteem?

Is body image really that important?  What makes you think so?

Shouldn’t you be working on mentally accepting yourself?  Once you learn to love yourself, others will also love you.

10.Dangerous dieting

Barbie obsession can lead you to extreme dieting that might cause such eating disorders as anorexia and bulimia.

11. Fake smile

Barbie’s smile is fake.  It isn’t real.  Your true feelings about yourself and others come from inside you.  That’s where your  smile originates.  If it’s a true smile, everyone you come in contract with will pick up on that.

Besides there is the  fact that some cosmetic procedures can sometimes leave a pernament fake smile.

12. Will being beautiful like Barbie really solve your problems?

If you think cosmetic surgery will make you happier and will get rid of your personal problems, think again.

There are a lot of unhappy models, celebrities and actresses who can tell you otherwise.

13. Are you trying to win someone else’s love?

Some women are under the influence that men want them to look like Barbie.  Are men really obsessed with Barbie?

What happens when the newness of the cosmetic procedure wears off?

Is it worth changing your appearance just to fit the image of a doll like Barbie?  Will the price you will pay be too high?

Everyone who thinks she wants to look like Barbie should think seriously about these potential problems.

why can’t people be themselves? Why pretend to be something that you’re not?
