Will Micro Breast Implants Replace Today’s Silicon Implants?

Micro breast implants may become the new breast implants of choice for a lot of women in the future.
These implants are very different from today’s breast augmentation which is mainly silicone breast implants. And because they are small, micro breast implants give women the latitude to choose how many breast implants they want.
Micro implants are raisin sized and more micro breast implants can be added later if the patient wants a larger breast size.
That is an advantage over today’s grapefruit sized implants which can not be adjusted for size and do not seem as natural. They are also appealing because some women are still concerned about the breast implants problems and breasts implants side effects of the past few years.
Because micro breast implants need to be approved by the FDA they are still several years away from availability, but they do offer a big improvement over the silicone implants of today which have not really changed that much over the last 50 years.
